Mtura, Chapos are something not to miss in the mix, kachumbari ya pilipili, coka cola well And for those others of us who believe that KBL was just God sent a few crates of tuskers. What fascinated me is that we were all rushing to go buy ham (mguu ya ngurue, na si yote) about 2kgs. Hio ngurue inatoka about ksh. 8,000 and that is C...

Dating a married man!? It Is Not Even Worth It

The cycle of the love affair with a married man almost always ends in broken hearts, hurt, and wasted time. Sure you have those once in a million times where the man actually leaves his wife for another, but for the most part, it is a script for adultery disaster. The love affair with the married man starts with a man who married for the wrong reasons and thus never truly felt fulfilled in his commitment to the wife. They probably have kids together and that is the only bond they share. The ideal woman for this guy is the girl who has been hurt many times by single men and is in the stage where she just wants someone to love her. After they meet and exchange conversation, he realizes what he has been missing at home and decides to pursue his happiness with her on the side. The married man wants to fill a void However, filling the void may backfire on him, as the relationship may escalate from occasional lunches during work hours or early dinners disguised as “working late”, to th...

Don't Throw in the Towel yet

There are many weapons the devil uses against someone who loves Jesus. Well, don’t forget that your love and commitment towards Jesus is what drives Him mad the most! This is one weapon he has used through all ages from the smallest to the biggest person around. Many have lost to this devious scheme of the enemy but the ones that have won this attack have emerged as champions. It’s none other than the weapon of DISCOURAGEMENT! Sin caused Adam and Eve to lose their confidence to go before God. Discouragement and fear filled their hearts and they ran away from God. Glance a little further in time and you will see discouragement passed down over to Cain when he saw that his sacrifice was not accepted. Throughout the Old Testament and even in the New Testament, you will see how the enemy sows seeds of discouragement in the hearts of God’s people; simply causing them to take a detour from their destiny. One of the greatest example is the mighty prophet Elijah. He allowed discouragement to ...

If OnLy

It all takes motivation, at one point or the other we all need a buster. There those that get there renewed energy through seating in a dark room that has no noise, there those like me who will find solace in having some alone time, cool music in the background and serine surrounding , there those that find this moments at the beach at the calm of an ocean and of course there those who will find it by reading the bible and in prayer or simply others in a pub emptying down there bank accounts. At times all it takes is switching off our cell phones and having our moments with those that we so much love and appreciate and by the time we are done we feel as if we have been reborn. Our mind and thoughts are more clear, and we have been rejuvenated in ways th...

The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world!

As for woman, wherever she goes and whatever her mission-for travel or for service-her native instincts draw her homewards. She may have unusual power and be distinguished for versatility; she may have artistic ability and attain distinction on the stage or in the studio; she may make bargains behind the counter or "be mighty in ledger and great upon Change"; she may serve as shop-girl, toil as fieldhand or in factory, be a typist, ticket agent; . . . she may skillfully wield the pen and prove a very magician in journalism and in the nobler literatures; she may possess great persuasive power in the pulpit or on the platform; she may display diplomatic ability in the lobby or cabinet; she may fill the professor's chair or preside over college or university; she may, like Joan of Arc, be the heroine of many a battlefield, or, like Victoria, reign with "all the royal makings of a queen"-but wherever a woman is, or whatever a woman does, she is at her best, ...

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

“Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before.” Joshua 3:4a (NIV) Do you have a fear of the unknown?I know i do.If so, then you know how nerve-racking it can be. Fearing the unknown can cause us to live on pins and needles as we spend precious energy anticipating the worst-case scenario. There are two problems with this type of fear: 1. The future is not here. 2. The future is not ours. While the future may be out of our hands, it’s not out of the hands of an adequate and trustworthy God. When we face a worrisome unknown situation, we can look to Joshua as an example. It’s recorded in the first chapter of Joshua that before Moses died, God passed the baton of leadership to Joshua. The Israelites had been wandering in the desert for 40 years under the guidance of Moses. Now, their journey was almost over. Just beyond the Jordan River was their promised land—the land that God had guaranteed to Abraham and his descendants. Upon reaching the Jordan Riv...
